I love your color style. You have some true skill, but I can't quit looking at the left side of the jaw as a negative. For some reason it just seems like the blue secondary light should be connected. It almost makes it feel like a bobble head or action figure with an unattached head. Other than that one small flaw (which might not be a flaw, maybe you intended to have it separated) this is an amazing piece.

You really have mastered the saturation difference between shadows and highlights.

Do you use the hard round brush that changes opacity with adjusting pen pressure? I just can't figure out how you make everything so damn smooth. It looks like it is actually painted.

looks pretty cool an intense man, man wish the hair was a bit mesier, it seems it moves all in the same direction that makes it look flat i have that mistake a lot

When I'm stuck with the PAGE that's WHITE and lonely
I just stick out my PENCIL and PEN and say, ohhh

The GOOD ART will come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may...

That's a completely different mood than I was expecting somehow, personally, but not in a bad way at all, still looks great! I guess you're going for a more or less homogeneous look with these portraits.

Satellite Soda! Better than even the finest Moonjuice. At times.

It's really neat and well done. Gah! The sharps worry me but make a neat foreground and background.

let me know what you think of this change. the edited version is on the right.

I generally use a round brush with a hardness of around 30% and spacing set to 1%.

The only time I ever use a soft edge brush is sparingly. Like for big open spaces in the beginning. The closer I get to something the hard the edge of the brush gets.

as for opacity, that depends on the pen pressure. I usually keep it around 30% unless needed to be stronger later.

Do what ever feels good to you. Nothing I prefer matters though.

yeah it's flat, but I'd blame that on my pencils. I'll have to render things better to give me something better to work with on the colors.

It's just going to time and practice.

Yes, that look much better to my eyes. It looks less like there is a cut off at his chin. I was thinking do the colors over the line, but this works just as well.

You are amazing, and it only took you five minutes to fix something based on criticism when most people would just keep that criticism in mind for future drawings.

I don't know how you make drawings with such simplicity have amazing detail.
:icondanimation2001:
yeah I was going to go with something more dark and bloody like perhaps. But I thought that perhaps I needed to make these pieces connect.

I could try another version that's different to see what it'll look like.
